Asst Prof's of SRM MC, Chennai: feedback to MCI

We the younger generation of India who have to face many challenging aspects, as the India which is said to be a developing country in general (but any one can say it as developed country in related to crime) where there is use of latest technology for doing crimes. We have to improve our forensic skills and update it for solving the problem instead vision 2015 down trodden the forensic medicine and encouraging indirectly the people to commit crime, telling them, in future there wouldn’t be any forensic doctor to detect their crime.
    Now it self there is very much scarcity of forensic specialists. With the revised curriculum of vision 2015 no one will be dared to take up forensic medicine as their PG subject and thereby increasing further scarcity in this field.
     If we have not taught Forensic medicine in UG level to the students they will never learn how to deal with medico legal aspects and its challenges, in near future, unless after UG if they go for their Post graduation in Forensic medicine.
But to be practical how many are taking it?
Every one knows that about 90% of the medico legal cases are dealt by the medical officers and specialists in other branches but not in Forensic then how can they use their medical knowledge to aid in attainment of justice. More over in our medical fraternity how many people are following the medical ethics then how can be the medical etiquette is maintained and also vision 2015 have not suggested many topics like identification, legal proceedings, asphyxia, medico legal aspects in psychiatry ,Thanatology etc, who will teach all these?
       We have seen many times that other than forensic specialist, the doctors dealing with medico legal cases, when they have to face such MLC they are getting frightened up and in the court, not alone the many culprits are acquitted, innocents were convicted,  because of lack of forensic knowledge by the doctors who deal them.
        Our sincere request is that please include the people  who is having the real vision to the future and young loaded guns in the forensic field instead of senile generation and save the forensic medicine and thereby by we can save India.
       On one side the forensic departments of medical institutions which have not been recognized till date are being strengthened in their infrastructure and recognition is being given to them. While on other side there is a movement towards derecognizing                          teaching of the faculty and removal of this faculty from medical curriculum for undergraduates. This is a contradicting move which defies any logic.The other factor to be considered is the plight of upcoming forensic post graduates who, having invested 3 years of their life and energy into this postgraduate education are being left without a future so such an arbitrary decision by the MCI is counterproductive.

    This aspect as to surrogate the entire expertise is a destructive trend and would abolish certain branches of medical science in due course. For the sake of introducing “Integral teaching” the proposal of BOG- VISION 015 is not going to help the medical students in their formative years. This INTEGRAL teaching ( crash curriculum ) would definitely affect the quality of Health care if its introduced as a sole method ,we don’t deny this method to be followed as a part of revision during the final / internship.

Please donot propose/amend  all such and we request you not to compromise the quality of Health care rendered to the sufferings of the public.
Just think of the situation where these VVIPs of  BOG / India be in the hands of these medical students in future, with miss outs of valuable ethics and etiquette, which are just learnt from papers. Is the life of living cost the least .

Proposals and policy making should be made with the inclusion of all related experts and senior conscience faculties, if to be of a mile stone in the Health care.
We would like you to request that ,donot remove the teachings of Forensic experts to the students by themselves. Otherwise it seems that you are trying to promote crimes, by denying the perception of  knowledge (of medical students)from the first hands of forensic expertise.
Injustice happens to many, because of the loop holes in different administrations of  India , and these proposals seem to be creating such for all the offenders and crime in future. The Department of judiciary and Police academy shares and gains a good and first hand knowledge of Forensic Medicine from the foresic expertise and is a ‘’core’’ part of their curriculum.
We would like to share all such issues
Donot let this proposal of making all our medicos blind (to social and human issues) be called as VISION 2015          .
In this litigious era of Health care “ethics” has to be inculcated to the medical students who are in their formative years.
Please extended the time limitations for the receiving the feedback, and “vision 2015” should really serve as “vision” for the medical students.
Opinions from each of the other faculties OG, Surgery, Medicine and legal experts, board of prosecution, police officials should be sought, if otherwise its like a “Delusionary body” narrating about  perceiving and vision?2015.

4.the opinion regarding the level of  ignorance of  medical doctors in medico legal issues from law enforcing authorities / Judiciary (sorry to share but we real mean it ), ofcourse this is THE loop hole for the injustice

5. the opinion regarding the level of  ignorance of law enforcing authorities / Judiciary in medico legal issues from the medical forensic exerts and scientist (sorry to share but we real mean it ), ofcourse this is THE other side of the coin- loop hole for the injustice.


saving the life of  the precious needs not alone the knowledge by books but the PERCEPTION of students with the real presence of Guru who is specialized in that certain field. For that matter each would be capable of teaching any subjects (science , commerce, finance)irrespective of their specialization.
Please, we request VISIO 2015 to make the ‘’quality ‘’ as core strata.

DOCTOR literally means TEACHER; DONOT DERECOGNIZE OUR ROLE AS TEACHER WHICH IS RECOGNISED BY THE SAME MCI BODY AFTER 6 DECADES OF HARDSHIP  & EFFORT & TEACHING) 

WE ARE DUTY BOUNG TO PROTECT THE LIFES OF EACH OF OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF OUR COUNTRY BOTH FROM NATURAL AND UNNATURAL ISSUES. AND ALSO WE WOULD HUMBLY SUBMIT THAT WE HAVE THE RIGHT TO PROTECT OUR OWN SELF AND OUR MEDICAL COMMUNITY FROM ISSUES AGAINST US.
ALL BRANCH OF MEDICINE TEACHES US THE FORMER AND ONLY FORENSIC MEDICIE TEACHES US THE LATTER.
We felt comfortable to have known the letters A B C of English first and then integrated all these and applied during our learning of  the word CAB / POWER /GOD.
let us have the same skeleton of curriculum with inclusions / modifications because unlike other professional / subject course we deal with the wholistic animated beings of God.
Let us improve the commitment and basic infrastructures in the field of Health care.
By 2015, our dream regarding victims /suspect/accused of offences with regard to physical ,mental ,social and psychological ,spiritual /humanistic well being would be of integrating the different specialists of different branches of medicine and groups of self realization,the judiciary, legal ,forensic medical & scientists  under single roof, to have a super speciality.
