Couple of Letters by DR.SHASHIDHAR.C.MESTRI regarding the meeting on 29th March 2011

I am apprehensive of crucial 29th march meeting because the efforts of all of us may go waste if the administrators attending meeting do not understand what we want and support it. I feel Dr.Pillay & committee members who attended earlier meetings & IAFM should take lead to contact our Forensic fraternity who r in administration and appraise them of what is proposed and request them to defend it. This is so because many of our colleagues who r in administration might not have actively involved in our campaign. I may be wrong, but yet I feel all should use their contacts and mail to Forensic fraternity attending crucial meeting about what was proposed by committee.
Today I spoke to Dr.Balaraj of JSSMC,Mysore in this regard. Unfortunately though Dr.Manjunatha, FMT faculty is VP, not attending meeting. Another VP a paediatrician is deputed. Hence all r requested to contact Forensic fraternity who r Principals, VP who r attending meeting to know what is proposed by committee & IAFM and defend it during 29th march MCI meeting.

Dear Dr.Pillay,
I do agree with you. One should forget the robust resistace & sustained efforts of various organisations and even individuals. After all it was of grave concern to all young & old who survive on the very existance of subject and its growth.
Now many of us r in doubt whether the team attending meetings and other organisations including IAFM are in touch with each other or not. Hope they are collectively putting effort to save the subject lest u r sowing doubt in the minds of monster MCI which may adopt divide & rule policy to break our unity. At any cost this should not be allowed. Please no one should be fighting for projection of our own views and ideas about curiculum. It should be comprehensive and acceptable to many if not all. One should know that there is always scope for changes in future if some of the ideas are not practicle. My appeal to all at helm of affairs to unite to effectively project the subject keeping in mind only the image of subject and that of thousands who earn livlihood out of it.
