Dr.Suraj Sundaragiri: BESEECH FOR PEOPLE,JUDICIARY AND MEDICAL SYSTEM

IN ANDHRA PRADESH, AFTER COMPLETION OF INTERNSHIP BEFORE WRITING ANY PG
ENTRANCE ,A COMPULSORY TRIBAL OR RURAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE IS IMPLEMENTED
AND FURTHER IT MAY BE PROJECTED TO 2 YRS AS NEW GOVERNMENT RULES AS
PUBLISHED IN PRESS . IF IT IS THE SITUATION THINK ABOUT HOW A MBBS DOCTOR
CAN CONDUCT POSTMORTEMS IN PRIMARY HEALTH CENTRES.
AT PRESENT CONDITION, MANY POSTMORTEM ARE  APPEALED AGAIN TO GOVERNMENT
COLLEGES AS AN EXPERT OPINION OR REEXHUMATION, IF MBBS TEACHING SCHEDULE
DOESNOT INCLUDES FORENSIC MEDICINE AS A SUBJECT IN REGULATION ,THINK
ABOUT THE FUTURE ASPECTS AND KNOWLEDGE OF MBBS DOCTORS WORKING . THE
WHOLE MEDICAL SYSTEM WILL BE DEMOLISHED AND INJUSTICE WILL BE DONE TO THE
PEOPLE AND THE JUDICIARY SYSTEM.
PLEASE TAKE PROPER ACTION FOR FUTURE NATION AND THINK IN ALL ASPECTS
PROPERLY BEFORE DELIBERATELY TAKING ANY ACTIONS.

With Reference to the proposals of Medical council of India Under Graduate Education working Group 2010 , The Expert committee has not known the field of medico legal aspects of Forensic Medicine.
1.   Apart from government teaching institutions , the Taluk hospitals  and District Hospitals are contributing to  medico legal work with Under Graduate exposure of Forensic Medicine. The total Post Mortem Examinations , Spot Autopsies ,Age Determinations , Medically Negligent cases, Exhumation cases are also done by them. The total Post Mortem Examinations, conducted by the state medical colleges are 45 % of the total  medico legal work in the state .The remaining 55 % are being conducted by MBBS doctors only. Since they have been taught Forensic Medicine as an Under graduate subject , they are able to do the Medico Legal work, apart from doctors who are possessing MD , Forensic Medicine . Without Forensic subject, how the Medicolegal work will be done by doctors, who have not read the subject; this aspect has not touched by the High profile expert committee.
2.   If the doctors are not trained in Forensic Medicine at Under Graduate level, it becomes impossible to attend the Court and  the total Judicial work will come to a stand still. Forensic Medicine not only should be taught in 2nd year MBBS , the Forensic Medicine should be taught to the clinical students in the final year as  clinical Forensic Medicine  and in the Casuality to know the aspects of Medical Negligence.
3.   The Private medical colleges, because of the lack of teaching faculty and not given the casuality work   and post mortem work, are proposing this gradual removing of Subject.
4.   If  the Under Graduate Doctors are not taught Forensic Medicine , the total judiciary system will come to stand still . Hence, we suggest you not to honour  the  proposal submitted by MCI Under Graduate Education Work Group 2010.
5.   No private medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh are having sufficient Teaching faculty,  and also they are not  conducting any kind of medico legal work i.e., Age Determination, Sexual offences , Potency certificate , Post Mortem Examinations , Spot Autopsies and Exhumations .
6.   The High profile committee who has not seen the depth of Forensic Medicine has gone against the Medicolegal aspects of Forensic Medicine and mainly, the Judiciary in India. As per the Supreme court judgement, the Medical Officer or the Forensic Doctor’s evidence in the court in each and every medicolegal case is a must and should be recorded as a prosecution’s witness. I think that the committee has not gone into the procedure of the Medicolegal aspects of Forensic Medicine.

The Committee chaired by experts are cutting down their own branch from the family tree. WHY?
