FM is a core subject in 2nd MBBS and will b core subject in future also. We have been called t discuss about horizontal and vertical integration between patho, micro, Pharmac and FM with other clinical subjects. This meeting is nothing to do with VISION2015.
off course in this meeting, I will bring the subject of VISION 2015.
VISION 2015 is just opinion seeking endeavor and in my opinion it is not possible to have UG medical education without FM and FM will remain as core subject and please don worry much about VISION2015.
Whether subject of FM stays for UG or not is of great concern to the judiciary and I am sure judiciary will come into picture at appropriate time and protect the interest of forensic experts.
My sincere request to all young minds, not to get disturbed by the so called VISION 2015. I have done lots of thing for the subject of FM and do so in future also. When there is threat to the subject, I il be the 1st person to fight for it.
I had a personal meeting with one of the governor Dr.Deviprasad shetty on 10th December and explained our stand very clearly. This was done even before VISION2015 was published. For ur kind info, I was d person behind bringing out revised medico legal curriculum.department of FM, Bangalore medical college and research institute played a very great role by gathering more than 70 Medico legal experts from all over da country. That curriculum is also partly reflected in Madras high court judgement.
Shortly National council for higher education and research and National council for human resources and health will take over Medical education in different proportions and will be in safe hands of those councils and BOG life is very short lived. It comes to end by may 15th if there is no extension.
Don't bother about VISION 2015......,VISION 2015 will be buried for ever....,VISION 2015 wil be given a decent burial.....,

very well said sir.I think all of us will agree that vision-2015 is going to be buried only(please refer my additional comments sent to MCI on 7th Feb posted on blog on 8th feb). As PM has announced that nCHCR will take care basically research in medical education and medical education will remain with health we have to tread our path very cautiously. We are very much aware about all the previous efforts done by you and know your capablities. There is a litle bit change in the schedule of meeting i.e.18 and 19. We are eagerly waiting for the outcome of meeting.
