I Dr. Syed Uzair post graduate in the Dept of Forensic Medicine, MR medical College, Gulbarga feels that the

only visible goal of vision 2015 seems to be developing only quantity of doctors not the quality. Instead their broad goal must be of producing quality doctors, who are well informed and capable of making observations, inferring conclusions and opinions which requires knowledge of the law, with relation to medical practice and medical negligence and respect for medical ethics, which can only be delivered by a forensic expert… 

Vision 2015 made by blind BOG’s will definitely decrease the quantity of expertise in medicolegal works and therby affecting dispensing of proper justice to the needy.

This so called vision 2015 will definitely act as a slow homicidal poison which will completely kill the subject. Lack of Job opportunities will drive the doctors away from the subject when question of taking up forensic medicine as their career arises .

Once a subject is included in the curriculum there should be efforts to upgrade it not to abolish it or dissolve it. To make a point that forensic experts are among the highest paid faculties in UK and USA. Now with the arise of new branches like forensic engineering, dna fingerprinting, poison control units, forensic medicine  have established its identity and imparted it significance, At this juncture BOG’s have taken this ridiculous decision of dissolving the subject..

With the rapid firing negative feedbacks from forensic experts and other fraternities  across the country would have definitely knock the doors of BOG’s so that their vision of implementing vision 2015 will not get a green signal so easily.

Now its time, time to act together with joining hands and also involve judiciary and police as they are the beneficiaries of forensic medicine..

I would also like to request the fraternities from other states to get yourselves involve in this battle against vision 2015 because the dark clouds are not only over a particular state but all over the country.

I request all PG’s and Asst Profs to join the association of young forensic experts and give valuable ideas and suggestions in making our subjetforensic medicine IMMORTAL.

I Hope that press conference and meeting with the Law ministry will bring fruitful results..
